NEW! Mount Hope Estate Tea with Miss Daisy Grubb

Miss Daisy Grubb, the former owner of the Mount Hope Estate’s mansion from many years ago, is our Victorian host for a delicious tea where you will enjoy a variety of savory finger sandwiches and sweet desserts in the mansion listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. Learn a bit of tea etiquette, be regaled with stories of the mansion by some of Miss Grubb’s best friends, and perhaps also enjoy browsing and wine tasting in the adjacent gift shop. Choices of sites to compliment your visit include time in downtown Lititz for great shopping including Wilber Chocolates plus perhaps a Moravian Church tour, the Watch & Clock Museum in Columbia and/or Turkey Hill Experience tea tour or hands-on ice cream experience, local Farmers Markets, and Harrisburg sites/activities including Capitol Building tour, PA Governor’s Mansion tour, Susquehanna Art Museum, Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat cruise, and the historic Harris-Cameron Mansion.  Tea available May to early October.

Chocolate Lovers Tour

Chocolate-covered pretzels at an artisan candy company, wine samples with one in an edible chocolate wine shooter, gourmet lunch in a culinary school’s Le Jeune Chef teaching restaurant with a student demo of its signature chocolate soup served as dessert and recipe to take home and narrated Susquehanna River Cruise with chocolate martinis, all in Central PA!

Happy Valley Tea & Tradition

Dive into pastries, scones with lemon curd, salads and finger sandwiches, browse in the onsite tea shop, plus consider Elva’s Chalk Art Presentation where the talented artist uses chalk to draw a large picture illustrating a story that is presented with pre-recorded music and narration and also shares her own story of growing up in a conservative Mennonite family and beginning to draw as a child which was considered to many in her community to be a “frivolous” endeavor.
