Also visit the Genesee Country Village & Museum, a working 19th-century, living history village in the Caledonia area with the largest most comprehensive collection of buildings in the state and the third largest in the country. And if you are feeling like something different, you can’t beat a visit to the quirky Jell-O Gallery Museum!
Follow our sweet treat trail tasting a variety of delicious products crafted in the New York Finger Lakes. Visit a sugar shack producing maple syrup and other confections where you’ll learn about the modern method of sap collection using suction and the art of creating perfectly sweet syrup. Pick up some bargains at New Hope Mills’ factory store specializing in pancake and other gourmet mixes. Enjoy lunch plus dessert sampling at a quaint country inn and perhaps also visit a winery and distillery specializing in honey-based spirits and/or visit a dairy farm where you will meet the goats, learn how their milk is made into cheese, sample a variety of cheeses and take home a personal cheesecake dessert.
